APPEALS TIMETABLE FOR ENTRY IN SEPTEMBER 2019

The appeal hearing will take place at the Town Hall, Bournemouth on the date(s) below and will be heard by an Independent Appeals Panel. The final decision of the Panel is legally binding on all parties.
The following deadlines will be of assistance to any parent/carer considering such an appeal:

- Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date
- You will receive at least 10 school days’ notice of your appeal hearing date. School days do not include school holidays, inset days, bank holidays or weekends.
- Appeal are normally heard during the daytime on weekdays and are not normally heard in school holidays. Where there are a number of parents all appealing for places at the same school, the hearings may go over a number of days.
- The school’s case will be dispatched to you and the Panel members at least 5 working days before the start of the appeal hearing
- Additional evidence may be submitted up to 5 working days before the hearing
- Any additional evidence received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing. The Appeal Panel must decide whether it should be considered taking into account its significance and the effect of a possible need to adjourn the hearing
- Following the hearing, decision letters will be sent, where possible, within five school days of the end of the hearing
- Appeal hearings for in-year places will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.

St Peter’s is a Catholic School and our values are centred around the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. St Peter’s provides an excellent Christian education for all boys and girls including those of other faiths and those with none, from ages five to nineteen. Applicants will be admitted without regard to aptitude or ability. The School serves Bournemouth, Dorset and Hampshire.
The normal years of entry to the School are Reception (Primary phase), Year 7 (Secondary phase) and Year 12 (Sixth Form). There are separate admissions policies for each of these entry years.

On 8 February 2018 the Governing Body of St Peter’s School ratified changes to The Admissions Policy for 2019-2020 (ie for entry in September 2019) after careful consideration of all responses to the Public Consultation.

*Please bring any Religious Certificates to the Open Evening you attend (where we will take a copy for you). If you are unable to attend any of these evenings you will need to ensure Certificates are provided to the Admissions Officer, at the address above, by the closing dates – Secondary Transfer 31 October 2018 and Primary Reception 15 January 2019.

If you wish to apply for a place at the school in any of our established year groups (i.e. in-year transfer from another school), these year groups are Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and at Secondary Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11, these applications must be made to Bournemouth Borough Council see the following link for more information – Applying for a school place.
