BTEC Music Concert

Last Thursday, the Year 11 BTEC Music students organised a concert in the theatre at lunchtime. Various talented musicians plied their trade in front of a paying audience; with all the money going to Brother Lionel, of course.

The first performer was Greg Johnson, with acoustic versions of ‘Sorry’ by Justin Bieber and ‘Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic’ by The Police. Next onto stage was Roisin Tickner with ‘Valerie’, backed by the piano accompaniment of Cael Duffy. Alan Thomas performed two songs with the guitar accompaniment of Kacper Kazaniecki, ‘Riptide’ by Vance Joy and ‘Stitches’ by Shawn Mendes. Kacper then took to the stage alone to play an acoustic guitar solo of ‘River Flows In you’. The final performer was Leah Sawyer, with a beautiful rendition of ‘Five Tattoos’ by Ella Henderson.

It was a wonderful show of musical talent that the whole audience enjoyed! Massive thanks go to the Year 11 Music BTEC students who masterminded and ran the concert.
