GCSE results – students make greater than ever progress

The school celebrated another year of improvements with students making greater than ever progress. The proportion of students achieving five or more of the top grades including English and mathematics increased by 6% – the best in the past four years. 80% of students made expected or better than expected progress in English and mathematics.

The school was rightly proud of all its students, especially those who have worked hard to fulfil and even exceed expectations. Over 16% of the year 11 students achieved five or more A* and A grades, 22 students received 8 or more and eight students achieved ten or more A* and A grades.

Students and staff were delighted with the outcomes as most came in to school for traditional envelope opening. There was a great sense of excitement and anticipation and lots of happy smiling faces and the students were busily completing their results forms for St Peter’s Sixth Form.
