On Tuesday 7 November Year 10 GCSE Citizenship class interviewed John Abdul Halim who is a community relations officer at Bournemouth Islamic Centre and Central Mosque. The interview was to improve our understanding about interfaith. It was an eye-opening interview that developed our knowledge of the Muslim faith and there traditions. We learned that Muslims have to pray five times a day, every day – at dawn, noon, afternoon, evening and night.
Some of the questions John answered where rather surprising, for instance Muslims are allowed as many wives as they wish (as long as they treat them all the same). The interview went very well and we managed to film it to show the rest of the school on interfaith week.
