Thank you for your interest in the above post. The post of School Business Manager is an exciting opportunity to join St Peter’s as we continue to expand into an all through school, across two sites in Bournemouth. The role is part time, working 30 hours per week – we are happy to be flexible with the specific days and this will be agreed with the successful applicant, but a Monday will be essential. The post is Term Time plus two weeks during the school holidays, including the last week of August, in order to prepare for the next academic and financial year.

 

The School Business Manager is responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of the school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration. A member of the School Leadership Team, they will advise on and implement the day to day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning. The successful applicant will be offered training where required. The start date of the role is envisaged as 1st September, although this can be flexible for the right candidate.

 

St Peters is a Catholic school with a strong Christian ethos which underpins all we do.   We are also an Academy jointly sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth and the De La Salle Order – an international organisation which has been running schools for over 300 years.

 

The school consists of two sites, with Primary accommodated at Iford and Years 7 to 13 at Southbourne.   It is a school with a tradition of success, oversubscribed every year and benefitting from a deservedly positive reputation in the local community. Relationships with families are affirming and constructive, with parents and carers keen to support the school and the children’s learning.

 

We are not a complacent community; all staff are keen to learn and improve, developing pedagogy through research, shared practice and innovation.
