It was an incredible day, albeit a little on the warm side, with Prince Edward, the current Duke of Edinburgh, presiding over the events of the day in the beautiful Buckingham Palace gardens.

The setting was stunning – we could not have wished for better weather, with the military bands playing, the various public figures speaking, along with the refreshments of tea and cake, it was a truly fabulous day!

Theresa enjoyed the day and was proud of her achievements, as were her mother and Mrs Richardson. To get the Gold Award, students have to show passion, determination and resilience in all five sections of the award, something that Theresa did in abundance. Well done Theresa!
