ENERGY DRINKS

Close to a third of children in the UK consume energy drinks at least once every week. While these high-caffeine beverages might be touted as a shortcut to a boost in focus and productivity, even a moderate intake can lead to significant impacts on the heart, sleeping patterns and mental wellbeing.

With celebrity spokespeople, colourful branding and the potential added element of peer pressure, it's unsurprising that young people are sometimes drawn to these products, often unaware of the potential negative impact they might be having on mind and body.

Operation Encompass: St Peter’s School is part of Operation Encompass which is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership, that supports children and young people who experience Domestic Abuse. Operation Encompass means that the police will share information about Domestic Abuse incidents with our school PRIOR to the start of the next school day when they have been called to a domestic incident. This information will be sent directly to the DSL/DDSL/Pastoral support workers for them to be aware of. Information for parents/carers: Schools hold on file any domestic abuse alert connected to any student in the school that happens between parents/carers.
