On 15/16 July the #BeMoreClaire team will once again take part in the Relay for Life in memory of our lovely and very much missed friend and colleague, Claire Wallace.

Recently a small group of students from both our Primary and Secondary phases joined students from many of the 70 schools from around the Diocese for the Annual Schools Mass at Portsmouth Cathedral.
Last week we had a special visit from Father Arockiaraj, one of the leaders of ‘Reaching the Unreached’ in India. He visited both Primary and Secondary and ran a special assembly for Year 7.

This year’s theme, for Mental Health Awareness week, is anxiety. Many of us can experience feelings of anxiety at times in our lives, for different reasons. It’s a normal emotion yet feels different for everyone. For many children and young people, pressure during exam season can lead to feelings of anxiety and stress, which can be challenging for their mental health.
Congratulations to our former student, netballing ace, Geva Mentor who has been named in the England squad for the upcoming Netball World Cup in July. The tournament being hosted by South Africa will be an incredible 6th world cup for Geva!
Did you know that we have offered Music Therapy at St Peter's for 3 years, with the help of Nordoff-Robbins? Over that time (and most amazingly, online throughout lockdowns!) we have been able to offer Music Therapy to SEN Students, Looked After Students, Adopted students, Students who have suffered bereavements, as well as students with a variety of mental health issues.

Several students along with our school Chaplains travelled, with a group from St Joseph’s Church in Christchurch, to Wembley Arena on Saturday for the Flame Congress 2023.
Some of our staff members attended a First Aid at Work course on Wednesday. Looks like they had fun while learning some valuable skills.
Today, all of our students took some time out from their usual lessons to mark the beginning of Lent, from the youngest students in our primary phase to our oldest Sixth Formers.
