An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to London seeking vengeance against the judge who framed and transported him for life, so that he could claim the barber’s young wife for himself. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs Lovett, a resourceful owner of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. This unfortunate meeting of minds leads to murder and the addition of a new ingredient into the meat pies which sees Lovett’s business go from strength to strength. Will Sweeney get his revenge and will Todd and Lovett get away with murder?
