Economics apprenticeship
Recently, our A Level Economics students were treated to a talk from Tommy Parker, a government economist.
Tommy has just finished his Economics degree apprenticeship scheme with the civil service. He spoke about his unconventional journey from dropping out of A Levels to now being an economist for the government in DEFRA. Students gained an insight into what a degree apprenticeship involved, compared to going to university. Many students were surprised at the opportunity of being paid £23,000 to gain your degree while having your tuition fees paid for. They received valuable information on what an economist does on a day-to-day basis and what hybrid working looks like.
The application process opens on Monday 19 December for our current Year 13 students. Should you wish to make an application, see here.
