Our Year 8 Girls Football team, who at the end of February won the Bournemouth/Christchurch schools 7 a side tournament qualifying to represent the town at the county finals, went on to win the bronze medal at the Dorset 7 a side final this week.
On Friday ex star-student and soon-to-be doctor, Alex Carver, came to speak to the current members of the Medic Mentors group to take questions about his experience of Medical School and to do an exercise of case-based learning to teach them the basics of taking a patient history.
Year 9 boys took part in the county seven a side rugby tournament this week at Lytchet RFC. Sixteen teams competed this year and from the very first game the boys got better and better.

Last Friday we celebrated World Book Day in the secondary library. Many worthy students from all districts rose bravely to the challenges set before them, including a hunt for Katniss and Peeta, a variety of tough Hunger Games quizzes along with other quests and prizes that were won.
It has been Reconciliation Week in the chapel this week. Classes visited the Chapel, with their RE teacher, where a number of interactive prayer stations with reflective activities were available.

This week the Year 8 boys had a rugby fixture against Winton school. The boys performed fantastically well and played some rugby way beyond their years as well as performing with real commitment and physicality.
