Superb GCSE Results
There was a real buzz around the school this morning when students were opening their results.
We are thrilled with our results, which have improved significantly from last year with 53% of students achieving a Grade 5 or above in both their English and Maths GCSEs and with 75% achieving the equivalent Grade 4 measure for both subjects. Additionally, more exam results were graded at an 8 or 9 than ever before!
Lyla Caunter, Hughie Jackman-Jones, Georgie Devereux, Dawid Tata, Sascha Dale, Ethan Barone and Tom Barnes were among the top performers, with each achieving an average across all their subjects of above a Grade 8!
Headteacher, Ben Doyle, said “with all the changes to grade boundaries and exam assessment over recent years, there was a sense that this was the first time since 2019 that our students and teachers were returning to a level playing field. This talented group of young people have worked exceptionally hard and have achieved the results they deserve. Of course, they could not have done this without the excellent teaching they received at school and unfailing support from home.
We look forward to welcoming our students back in September for Year 12, where they will be joined by many other students from all over the BCP area. Well done Year 11, we are really proud of you!”
