Year 7 Boys Rugby
The Year 7 boys rugby team took part in the Dorset and Wilts state school 10-a-side rugby competition held at Swanage and Wareham rugby club this week.
All the boys had been training really hard, but unfortunately there wasn’t space for all of them to go as numbers were restricted by the size of the minibus. The rugby club is a huge success this year with numbers averaging 27/28 boys every Tuesday after school and there’s still plenty of space for more to come along and be part of the team. On the back of school training, many have now joined local clubs, including Dorset Dockers, who are running another free ‘come and try’ session on Sunday 24 November at 9.15am at their Iford Lane ground. The boys played very well and after losing a tight first game, they grew in confidence and won every game from there on, leaving them in fourth place overall with 12 schools in attendance. Well done to all the boys that were there and to all of those that have attended training regularly this year so far.
