Chef Alderman returns

It was a pleasure to welcome Mark Alderman, Chef and Lecturer from Bournemouth & Poole College, to Food Preparation and Nutrition this week. Mark demoed Risotto and Tuille biscuits to our Year 10's, who really enjoyed all his tips on portion control, presentation and flavouring.

We have worked with Mark many times before and enjoy making links with Bournemouth & Poole College in order to aid students' progression from GCSE to Further Education. We all had a fab time talking about the consistency of Risotto, the use of Aborio rice and food provenance. We understood the food science within the dishes and compared them at the end of the lesson.  Excellent to see Chef Alderman again and a great experience for our Year 10 students.
